Terms of Service

Client Responsibilities

As the client, you are responsible for the following:

  • Maintaining safe access into and out of the yard. If we are unable to clean due to access issues, the visit will be charged as a completed service.

  • Securing or bringing indoors any aggressive or protective pets during scheduled service windows. Inaccessibility due to pets will result in the visit being charged.

  • Notifying us of any changes in the number of pets on the property.

  • Ensuring prompt payment according to the billing terms below.

Lawn Maintenance

Yards with tall grass, excessive leaves, snow, or other obstructions may result in incomplete waste removal. It is the client’s responsibility to maintain a reasonably cut and accessible lawn to ensure effective service. We do not guarantee 100% pickup in these conditions, and service charges will still apply.

Inclement Weather

Severe weather may delay or prevent service. In such cases, we will notify you and return to service your yard as soon as safely possible.

Winter Weather

If it is actively snowing at the time of your scheduled service, we will skip that visit and return on your next regularly scheduled service date. Service charges apply as normal for snow-skipped visits — as snow melts throughout the winter and into spring, we continue collecting all previously buried waste, keeping your yard maintained on an ongoing basis throughout the season. During all winter visits, we remove all visible and accessible waste not covered by snow or ice. If deep snow, ice, or unsafe conditions prevent safe entry to the area to be cleaned, the visit will be documented and rescheduled for your next regularly scheduled service date.

Paused Service

If your pet(s) will not be using the yard for a period of time (e.g., vacation, illness), please notify us in advance so we can pause your service and avoid unnecessary charges.

Waste Disposal

Pet waste removal and disposal is included with all recurring service plans (weekly or bi-weekly) at no additional cost.

For one-time cleanups, a waste disposal fee of $5 per dog will be added to the service to cover the cost of bagging, transport, and proper disposal of collected waste. This fee reflects the significantly higher waste volume that one-time and seasonal cleanups can generate. This fee applies only to one-time services and is waived for customers enrolled in ongoing recurring service.

Water Source & Irrigation Systems

The BioShield Treatment add-on requires access to an outdoor water source to perform the service. By selecting this add-on, the client authorizes Mountain View Pet Waste Removal to access and use outdoor water faucet(s), hoses, or irrigation connections as reasonably necessary. The client is solely responsible for ensuring that all water fixtures, spigots, hoses, irrigation systems, and related plumbing components are in good working condition and suitable for such use. Mountain View Pet Waste Removal shall not be held liable for any leaks, breakage, or damage to faucets, spigots, hoses, irrigation systems, or related plumbing components that may occur during the normal course of service. The company also assumes no responsibility for pre-existing defects, deterioration, or weaknesses in the client’s water fixtures or plumbing systems. By receiving service, the client acknowledges and accepts these terms and waives any claim against Mountain View Pet Waste Removal for damage resulting from the ordinary use of the client’s water source.

The Threshold Barrier add-on does not require a water source and can be performed without access to outdoor plumbing.

Bucket Service Terms

Clients enrolled in our bucket service are required to use the provided Mountain View bucket with a secure lid, as well as our supplied compostable bags (2 per dog, per month). Service frequency is assigned based on the number of dogs in the household:

  • 1–2 dogs: monthly pickup

  • 2–3 dogs: biweekly pickup

  • 3–4 dogs: weekly pickup

If we observe excessive waste volume or sanitation concerns during pickup, we reserve the right to adjust the client’s service plan to a higher frequency to ensure safe and effective service.

Holiday Schedule

We do not operate on major holidays. Services falling on these days will be rescheduled accordingly.

Scheduling & Flexibility

We strive to keep your scheduled service day as consistent as possible. However, there may occasionally be a need to adjust your service by one day earlier or later due to weather, holidays, routing changes, or other operational needs. We appreciate your understanding.

Billing & Payments

A card on file is required to initiate service. Your card will be automatically charged after the completion of all initial or one-time cleanups. For ongoing recurring service, clients will be billed on the 1st of each month for that month’s service. We do not offer post-service billing.

Fees & Promotions

All pricing and promotional offers are subject to change. In such cases, we will provide at least two (2) weeks’ notice.

Termination

Either party may terminate service in writing at any time. By initiating service, both parties agree to the above terms and responsibilities.
